Object Description
Art Deco diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond in a grain set box collet setting with a weight of 1.75 carats, flanked to the outside by ten square step cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined weight of 0.70 carats, further adorned by fifty round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 1.20 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.65 carats, to an impressive cocktail ring of symmetrical design with an intricately pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the broad tapering shoulders flowing to a flat solid shank. Tested platinum, circa 1925.
