Object Description
Art Deco diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond, K colour, VS2 clarity, with a weight of 2.73 carats in an open back rubover setting, flanked by two tapered step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats and two triangular step cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carat, further set wih two round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.15 carats and decorated with twenty round eight-cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.30 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.68 carats, to an elegant tapered form with an ornate scrolling openwork conforming gallery with intricate pierced backholing, flowing down to a solid tapered D-shape shank. Marked platinum, French, circa 1930, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #5234357423.
