Object Description
Art Deco diamond drop earrings. A matching pair each set to bottom with a drop shape briolette cut diamond in a closed back pin fitting, two in total, with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, set to top with one round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 0.50 carats, further set with four round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings, eight in total, with a combined weight of 0.16 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.46 carats, to an elegant articulated drop earring flowing with movement featuring millegrain borders, an intricately pierced gallery with chenier detail and open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and butterfly, approximately 2.5cm in length. Earrings tested platinum, post and butterflies tested white gold, circa 1920.
