Object Description
Art Deco diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each surmounted with a round old cut diamond in an open back grain setting, two in total with a combined approximate weight of 0.60 carats, each suspending seven graduating round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings, fourteen in total with a combined weight of 1.65 carats, further set to bottom with a single cushion shape old mine cut diamond in an open back claw setting, two in total with a combined weight of 1.30 carats, surrounded by twelve round old diamonds in open back grain settings, twenty-four in total with a combined weight of 0.60 carats. The total combined diamond weight is 4.15 carats, to an elegant articulated earring, flowing with movement featuring an angular design, a geometrically pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, fitted to the reverse with a secure post and butterfly, approximately 4.20cm in length. Tested white gold and platinum, circa 1925.
