Art Deco diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back claw setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 1.70 carats, further adorned with two baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, four in total, with a combined weight of 0.60 carats, alternating with two round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, four in total, with a combined weight of 0.18 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.48 carats, to an elegant articulated drop earring, consisting of a linear surmount flowing with movement suspending a round collet with elegant curving double claws and open backholing, fitted to reverse with secure post and butterfly, approximately 3.2cm in length. Earrings marked platinum, butterflies marked 18 carat gold, stamped ‘Brevete’ (patented), indistinct marker’s mark, French, circa 1930.
