Art Deco, French, Platinum, Pink Sapphire and Diamond Ring

Object Description

This 3.45 carat unheated Sri Lankan Sapphire displays a floral purplish-pink body colour, and takes centre stage within this lavish early 20th century saddle-shaped mount, millegrain-set with nearly 3 carats of antique circular-cut diamonds. One of our many vintage engagement rings, this is an incredible demonstration of French craftsmanship of the period. It’s a huge statement piece, it looks amazing on the hand. The sapphire sits centre of this fantastic ring. Accompanied by GCS report no. 79221-88, stating that the sapphire weighing 3.45 carats is of Sri Lankan origin, with no indications of heat treatment.
