Art Deco gilt bronze sculpture of a woman by Rochlitz

This fine gilt bronze sculpture is demonstrative of the elegance and grace of Art Deco design. The sculpture depicts a young female dancer, her legs parted in a tip-toed stride and her arms raised in counterbalance. She wears a light skirt and is nude from the waist upwards. The figure is set onto an integral gilt bronze base, which is raised on a veined marble plinth. The base is signed ‘C. Rochlitz’.
