Art Deco Period Bead Necklace

Object Description

An Art Deco Period Necklace formed as a row of graduated glass beads of dark caramel brown colour with darker mottled inclusions giving the beads a look of Tortoiseshell.
There are modernist design silvered metal rondel spacers between the beads & the necklace retains the original oval silvered metal screw clasp.
Th necklace is strung on the original chain.

Object History

This necklace was produced by Louis Rousellet,a Parisian company specialising in the manufacture of high quality fashion jewellery.
Their pieces incorporated Glass,Phenolic & metal components & have a distinctive style & character.
French,circa.1920s/30s.
