Object History
Theodor Fahrner was one of the most important firms producing jewels in the 1920s & 1930s in Pforzheim which was the main centre of jewellery production in Germany at this period.
Their production ranged from a traditional style of jewellery, also highly decorative pieces utilising colourful mat finish enamels & semi precious gems through to these pieces exhibiting a very rigorous modernist style undoubtably influenced by the Bijoux Art Moderne jewels being designed & created in Paris by artist jewelers such as Jean Fouquet & Raymond Templier.
