Art Nouveau natural pearl ring by Wièse. Set to centre with a round natural saltwater pearl with an approximate weight of 4.53 carats in a closed back rubover setting, to an intricately carved form featuring ornate ivy leaves, floral designs and closed backholing, leading to heavy shoulders and tapering through to a solid shank. Tested 18 carat yellow gold, signed Wièse, French, circa 1900, accompanied by Gem and Pearl Laboratory report #06804.
This piece is extremely rare. Wiese is one of the finest French jewellers of the nineteenth century and his work is highly sought after. Very few rings were made by Wiese.
