Object Description
This exquisite Art Nouveau lamp is by the celebrated French glasswork studio Daum which was founded in 1878 in Nancy, France. The lamp is inscribed ‘DAUM, NANCY’.
The lamp is of mushroom shape. Its glass shade is composed of a small pointed dome which tops a wider dome. This covers the light fixtures which are supported by a baluster-form stem. The stem is set on a splayed foot.
Crafted from wheel-carved and acid-etched glass, this lamp is orange-yellow in colour with beautiful patterns in brown, pink, red and green. In its style, the lamp is clearly French Art Nouveau.
