Object Description
A rare carriage clock, in a highly stylised gilt Art Nouveau case, dated c.1890s.
The case has beveled shaped glasses to all sides, with a raised oval glass in the top, beneath the fixed carrying handle.
The 8 day movement strikes the hours and the passing of the half hour on a coiled gong, with push repeat function for the last hour struck. The clock retains the original silvered lever platform escapement.
Perfect cream enamel dial, the Arabic numerals with floral swags between, and an outer minute track.
