This Bergman cold-painted bronze lamp is a fine example of the artisan’s work. The Orientalist lamp depicts a young woman playing a musical instrument and singing beneath an ornate canopy draped with curtains and pierced with an Islamic style window. The maiden sits on a divan, with a rug at her feet. The bronze, as expected of Bergman, is finely cast, and the cold painting is bright and vibrant. The lamp is marked ‘B’ for Bergman.
