Object Description
A 19th century silver travelling beaker and cutlery set contained in the original leather covered case. It comprises a knife, fork and spoon with detachable, screw handles, one small spoon and a condiment holder, all cleverly slotting together inside the gilt lined beaker. Each piece has an engraved coat of arms. The cylindrical spice box has 2 compartments.
Total silver weight 337g, 10.8 troy oz.
Beaker contains 220ml.

Marks. The beaker, 4 cutlery pieces, and spice box lid are stamped with Austro-Hungarian hallmarks for 1835, silver grade “13” for 13 loth = 875/1000. Maker’s mark unattributed. The silver handles are unmarked The knife blade is made of steel.
