Object Description
Belle Epoque diamond cluster ring. Set vertically with three round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.40 carats, encircled and flanked by twenty four round eight cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined weight of 0.75 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.15 carats, to an oval openwork cluster with fine millegrain borders, a gallery with scalloped decoration and intricately pierced backholing, the sloping shoulders continue through to a slim D-shape shank. Marked platinum, maker’s mark ‘MS’ with a dogs head for Maurice Silberstein, French, circa 1915.
