Object Description

Belle Époque diamond two stone crossover ring. A vertical cluster set to top with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with a weight of 1.09 carats, set to bottom with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.10 carats, decoratively surrounded by twenty two round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.25 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.44 carats, to an elaborate two stone crossover design featuring curving claws, millegrain borders and intricately pierced open backholing, the integrated shoulders flow to a solid squared shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold with platinum settings, indistinct maker’s mark, French, circa 1905.
