Object Description

Berlin Woolwork Leopard Embroidery. Framed in an old maple frame with gilt slip and glass. Tacked to a wood stretcher frame with chipboard backing. The sampler is worked in wool canvas ground. Colours blues, cream, green, browns, grey and black. Subject depicts a roaming leopard with landscape detailing to the background.

Object Condition

Good. No holes. Very Slight pulling to the ground. No stains. Some stitch loss to the leopard’s body. Colours are good and strong. No colour run. Stretching is slightly uneven. Frame in good condition, ready to hang.
