Object Description
Boucheron diamond clip earrings. A matching pair, each set to bottom with two drop shape old cut diamonds in open back claw settings, four in total with an approximate combined weight of 3.60 carats, set to top with two round transitional cut diamonds in open back claw settings, four in total with a combined weight of 0.92 carats, and further decorated with eight rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, sixteen in total with a combined weight of 1.70 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 6.22 carats, to an impressive articulated pair of drop earrings featuring curving claws and polished edges, intricately pierced galleries and fancy shape open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinged clip, approximately 4.2 cm in length. Earrings tested platinum, fittings tested white gold, indistinct maker’s mark, signed ‘BOUCHERON LONDON’, English, circa 1950, accompanied by fitted box.
