Object Description

Brown Westhead Moore & Co Majolica garden seat which features three gargoyle heads, their tongues forming the legs. Turquoise ground version. Colouration: turquoise, green, ochre, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Brown Westhead Moore & Co pottery. Bears a pattern number, ‘448’. Object Condition

Generally good. Minor scratches from use. KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze; notable crazing in places. RESTORATION. Three remodelled projections. Retouched flake to one ear. Filled chips to ochre rim.
