Object Description
A vintage Monete pendant by Bulgari, 1990s. This necklace has a single bronze ancient Roman coin set into a rounded 18ct yellow gold bezel setting. The coin is suspended from a black leather cord which can be adjusted by three moveable 18ct yellow gold rondelles.

The iconic Bulgari Monete jewels were launched mid 1960s and driven by Nicola Bulgari, a keen coin collector. The collection expanded quickly as the reception was so positive that they never looked back and still create this range today. The concept of setting coins into jewellery goes as far back as the Roman empire but it had a resurgence in popularity in the late 19th century.
