Object Description
Circa 1870, mid Victorian burr walnut and inlaid davenport desk. With hinged, raised top section which is fitted for holding stationery, and a green embossed and gilded leather writing slope, with a satinwood interior. Beneath are 2 burr walnut shelves with concave shaped fronts, and held in place by ring turned, tapering columns. It all stands on bulbous feet with brass and white porcelain castors. It is polished to all sides.
