Object Description
An early 19th Century Burr Yew veneered and Rosewood cross banded drop leaf Sofa Table, the rectangular top with rounded corners, two frieze drawers and two false drawers to the reverse, raised on inlaid end pillar supports to inlaid splayed cabriole legs with brass lions paw caps and castors united by a turned stretcher.
The panels of Yew are all edged in the finest Ebony and Boxwood stringing and the top is edged with Boxwood stringing outside of the Rosewood crossbanding. This is a table of remarkable colour, grain and vibrancy.
