Object Description
A middle of the 19th century pocket barometer by Carpenter & Westley in its original leather carrying case.
The gilt brass barometer has a silvered dial with a curved fine thermometer to the lower edge and the makers name engraved “Carpenter & Westley 24 Regent Street London”.
The case is leather to the out side and velvet and silk inside with the makers crest inside the hinged lid.
The barometer is in working condition with some discolouration to the reverse of the brass case. (Circa 1860)
