Object Description
Circa 1920, carved Chinese camphorwood kist with scratch carving on each end and profusely carved in the centre. The top is slightly domed and is hinged, opening to reveal an uninterrupted interior, also in camphorwood. The carving on the top continues around the front and it retains its original cast brass clasp on the top. The locking device on the bottom is missing. It has two scooped out handles for lifting and sits on 4 bracket feet. There is a stepped exterior and sunburst carving on the sides and front.
