Object Description
Circa 1870. A large Victorian carved oak open bookcase, the top with a
stylish moulded cornice with dentil detail beneath, the centre with reeded
and fluted section with foliate carving to the sides, the front with three
open sections each with adjustable oak shelves with stylish facings, the
outside fore-edge with fluted pilasters, flat section follows the form of
the top with stylish moulding, the open base with three solid shelves with
simple pilasters on the outside, all resting on an enclosed moulded plinth.
