Object Description
A Celtic boar mount cast from bronze. The animal’s anatomical features have been naturalistic rendered including the snout, eyes and ears. The fur and the mane have been highlighted with small incised marks. The mount displays the boar’s head and two outstretched, front legs. Behind the head are two ridges used to help secure the mount on an item, possibly a bowl.
