Object Description
Ceylon sapphire and diamond ring. Centrally set with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 9.30 carats, flanked by six horizontally set rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to an impressive flanked solitaire design featuring corner claws, a geometric pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the raised trumpeting shoulders flow through to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, engraved ‘Charles a Nicole 15-8-1938, circa 1920, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #80263-16.
