Here we have an outstanding Teak Zanzibar chest c1850. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. The chest is made from thick planks so is very heavy. The top has thumb moulded edge and the most impressive brass work. The chest probably a dowry or marriage chest also has beautiful brass decoration to the sides and front with original brass side carrying handles and hand forged hinges to the interior. A fantastic decorative period chest in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 105 cm wide 53 cm deep 51 cm high.
