Chinese Camphor Wood Campaign Desk
A late 19th to early 20th century Chinese camphor wood campaign or traveling desk.
The desk has a drawer to the front with a military style brass plate handle and when pulled out the tambour cover at the back opens to reveal a stationery rack.
The rack can be lifted upwards and clicks into place for access to the pigeon holes.
The front folds forward to make a sloping, baize covered writing surface along with inkwell spaces, a pen rack, storage area and a round ruler.
The desk is made from good looking figured camphor wood, the drawer front and top have a decorative black painted line. (Circa 1900)
