Object Description
A very fine and attractive graduated pair of Chinese turquoise glazed dog of foo figures dating from the first half of the 20th century. The hollow biscuit porcelain figures stand raised on a rectangular base and are looking sideways with open mouths showing teeth each with a raised front paw, one resting on a ball and the other on a puppy dog. Both have finely molded details with black over painted eyes and are richly decorated in turquoise glazes which have pooled around the lower body and within the molded ridges. One with printed red maker marks along with impressed numbers to the base and the larger example not marked.
