Object Description
Circa 1890, a Chinese huanghuali 2 tier occasional table. With rectangular top and simple half round moulding above a classic Chinese frieze with a simple but elegant pattern of loops and scrolls connected by half round sections. Towards the bottom is a single shelf held in place by half round beading. A label beneath the top shelf reads W.B. Finnigan, and both shelves are braced beneath to prevent cracks or dipping. The table finishes on a simple turn foot on a small squat bun beneath it.
