Object Description
An exceptional and stunning pair antique Chinese Qing cloisonné enamel vases decorated with floral patterning dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The bulbous bottle shaped vases stand raised on a narrow conical shaped foot with tear drop shaped bodies with a pinched neck and trumpet shaped top. The vases are decorated with repeat floral designs in various colored enamels with trailing leaf designs set against a black enamel ground. Decorative borders are applied around the upper and lower body. With brass rims to the top and base the vases are both decorated internally and to the bases with the customary turquoise enamel finish. The vases are not marked.
