Object Description
Circa 1760. A quality George III mahogany chest of drawers, similar to the Dumfries house chests which were designed by Thomas Chippendale. The solid top in well figured mahogany with an elegant moulded fore edge, with a configuration of two short over three full length graduating drawers. Each are lined in oak and have the original cast brass swan neck handles with circular back plates. Beneath the bottom drawer there are further mouldings and the chest rests on four quality ogee bracket feet.
