Object Description
Chippendale Period Mahogany Serving Table with applied neoclassical bell flower swags to the frieze and Chinese corner brackets to the square section legs.
This piece clearly shows the progression from the Rococo/Chinese taste to the more fashionable Neo Classical flavour and illustrates the cooperation between Chippendale and the Architect Robert Adam. We see this in the furniture produced for Harewood House by Chippendale.
