Object Description
Circa 1815. A classic Regency circular convex mirror. The top surmounted by an eagle with wings spread, ring in its mouth with its talons holding onto a rocky base, resting on a raised platform with stylish patterned front with foliate gilded carved wood to the sides. The original convex mirror held in place by an ebonized ribbed slip. All contained in a circular frame with a moulded fore-edge with a weave of foliate carving around the front, and two sections of foliate carving on the sides, excellent colour and patination.
