Object Description

A unique group of four 20th century reclaimed decorative tiles, fixed into wall-mounted frames. Ex. Chris Blanchett collection, these tiles are of English and Dutch origin, some with markings to the back (see photos).

The set includes a green, blue and yellow glazed foliate antique tile with ‘Made in Holland 1918’ inscribed to the reverse; an English tile detailed with a rabbit circa 1940 marked James Dring, similar in design to his ceramics found in the V&A; a delft style blue and white glazed tile depicting a fish; and a crackle glazed late 20th century tile with an exotic blue bird by Iris Milward.

Showcasing a range of patterns, style and techniques, this eclectic collection of antique and reclaimed tiles can be arranged in any formation as unique wall decor for an interior.
