Object Description
A contemporary interpretation of top-end 19th century examples, finely handwoven with natural dyed colours and handspun wool. Zieglers were originally commissioned in Persia during the late 19th century to complement European furnishing tastes. Their unique grand scale drawings, quiet formality and understated colours blended well in grand stately homes in the UK and Europe.
A handsome Contemporary Ziegler carpet with a less common green colour field and large scale drawing, framed by a light yellow border. The fresh colours are all vegetable dyed colours with handspun wool.
A stylish example to compliment a variety of settings.
