Cushion shape solitaire diamond ring. Set centrally with a cushion shape old cut diamond in an open back raised claw setting with an approximate weight of 0.65 carats, to elegantly curving claws and circular backholing, the broad integrated shoulders smoothly flowing through to a solid tapering D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, full hallmarks for Birmingham, maker’s mark ‘W.S’, English, circa 1922.
