Object Description

This highly decorative antique fireplace dates from the late 1800s and encompasses a mixture of styles from across the ages. The composition moulding throughout gives a distinctly neoclassical look that is equally as suited to Georgian and Victorian settings. But it is the frieze of this antique fireplace surround that makes it unique, detailed with a bow and quiver among swathed garlands of foliage. With its ornate details and wide shelf, this surround is an impressive focal point for a large living room, dining or reception room.
