Delphin Massier Majolica Birds on Bamboo Vase

Object Description

Delphin Massier French Majolica vase which features three bamboo stem vases forming a support for an egg on the top. The bamboo and egg is hand painted with flowers and leaves. Birds (tits and finches) are perched all around. Colouration: white, pink, green, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Delphin Massier pottery.

Object Condition

Generally Good. RESTORATION. Two birds reglued and join retouched. One wing reglued and join retouched. Filled chip to one wing. Filled chip to bamboo rim. Retouched beaks.
