Object Description
Circa 1800s, rare domed top walnut and burr walnut clock by William Barr of Govan. It has tempered steel hands, with a wood, brass and painted pendulum and a painted panel to the face. This has a coat of arms, and features the clockmakers name. The door is domed and glazed, and also has 2 glazed side panels, whilst beneath is a fielded panel of burr walnut with beading. There are curved, flared section to the front and sides, all above an enclosed burr plinth. It has been serviced and working, and can be used with our without a mirror back.
