Object Description
A very stylish pair Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau bud shaped vases with stylized floral designs by Ethel Beard and Rosina Harris and dating from around 1902. The stunning pair stone ware vases stand on a wide skirt shaped foot with a funnel shaped body with a shallow rounded top and everted rim. The vase is decorated with beaded stems leading to a small raised flower head set within a scroll work design of typical period style with a heart shaped petal above. The vases are decorated in tones of blue and white on mottled brown and green grounds with blue applied around the inside top edge. The vases have impressed marks to the base with matching numbers 6229 and with incised artist marks.
