(This fabulous table would have been constructed in
The Netherlands around the middle of the 18th Century.
Dutch furniture makers were often 30, or 40 years behind
their English counterparts and in terms of style and design
and more often than not they employed a much more
decorative take on some typical English designs. This
particular card table is a very good one of its type, sporting
excellent inlaid decoration, a triple top and is of very
elegant design.)
