A 20th century oil on canvas painting by the Dutch artist Jan Hovener (1936-2021).
The painting shows an early 20th century beach scene of Scheveningen beach The Hague, with ladies and children paddling in the sea.
The painting is signed in the bottom right hand corner ‘J. J. Hovener’ and has on the back some information on the artist along with an old postcard photograph of the beach.
The painting is in very good condition and is held in a carved wood, gilded and painted frame. (Circa 1970)
