Object Description
A truly beautiful and incredibly rare partial gilt mid sized silver tankard and cover decorated with fabulous scrolling engraving set on a bright cut background for decorative contrast. The lid and bottom of the bowl have wonderful 18th century coins for high/low lights. There is a single peg insert inside for his and her measures.
This tankard was presumably designed for a prominent couple.
