Object Description
Very nice late 17th / early 18th century Fruitwood joint stool in pretty decent condition for its age. Bobbin turned legs with original square stretchers. Nicely moulded top parts. Original pegged on top with thumb moulded edge. As to be expected with a stool of this age (especially in fruitwood) there is some old worm holes and there are some historic repairs around the bottom of the legs and a small repair to one stretcher. All the parts including stretchers are original though. The stool is a lovely colour with great patina and a waxed finish.
