EARLY 19TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL WALNUT COMMODE
Four long drawers, three of which are framed with a gilt bronze insert. Gilt bronze handles with masked heads in the centre, gilt bronze escutcheons cast in the shape of putti. The drawers flanked by two tapering columns, again framed with gilt bronze cannelures and mounted with gilt bronze caryatid heads in the Egyptian style. Ebonised bronze paw feet. White Carrara marble.
