A very good early 19th Century Fitted Mahogany Military Apothecary’s Box, the hinged lid opening to a full set of stoppered bottles above two drawers with a range of fitments, compartments etc. This well fitted box comes with a hand written book entitled” A Short Account of the Most Common Diseases incident to Armies with the Method of Cure translated from the original of Baron Van Swieten Physician to there Imperial Majesties”
