Object Description
A very good early 19th Century Fitted Mahogany Military Apothecary’s Box, the hinged lid opening to a full set of stoppered bottles above two drawers with a range of fitments, compartments etc. This well fitted box comes with a wonderful hand written book entitled” A Short Account of the Most Common Diseases incident to Armies with the Method of Cure translated from the original of Baron Van Swieten Physician to there (sic) Imperial Majesties”
There is also a label inside which states “No.2 Medicine Chest, The property of the late Dr. Beale Cooper of Evesham”
