Object Description

Circa 1820. Early 19th century French inlaid rosewood two drawer commode. The serpentine shaped inlaid and crossbanded top above two shaped-front drawers with original brass escutcheons and handles, the lower drawer with a brass-mounted skirt. The rounded corners with lion head mounts & the sides with panels of rosewood and walnut. Supported on neat cabriole legs with brass lion claw feet. Lovely colour and patina.
